Jack Russell started his first band at age 11. Ten years later Jack would form Great White with his friend and guitar player Mark Kendall. In 1989 Great White was nominated for a Grammy with their song ‘Once Bitten Twice Shy’ for best hard rock single. Great White has sold over 10 million albums.
In 2011 Jack Russell parted ways with his former band members. An agreement was later reached in which they would carry on as Great White and Jack moved forward as Jack Russell’s Great White.
To Jack Russell’s Great White Jack added Robby Lochner (Fight/Rob Halford) on guitars, Dan McNay (Pat Travers, Ronnie Montrose) on bass and Dicki Fliszar (Bruce Dickinson, WASP) on drums. Jack was reunited with his longtime bassist and friend Tony Montana when he joined the band in 2013, this time on guitars. The band is currently touring with drummer Ken Mary (Alice Cooper, House of Lords).
Jack is known for his bluesy voice, Led Zeppelin covers and distinctive sound. His solo albums include the rock album ‘Shelter Me’ released in 1996 and his adult contemporary album ‘For You’ in 2002. Jack has also recorded vocals for numerous tribute albums, and background vocals with artists such as Night Ranger. Jack has co-written songs with artists such as RATT.
